What is Digital and Litho Print?

Digital Print - This is a process similar to your printer at home, however on a larger scale. It uses a larger version of an Ink Jet Printer to print lines of mixed colour to produce the final image. It has a slightly lower quality of finish due to softer edges to colours.

Litho Print - This is the more traditional, long standing print method. It is a CMYK process that uses idividual colour plates to build colour to produce the final works. This has a higher quality of finish as it can produce sharper divides and richer colours.

How do I know what process suits my job?

Our standard print method is Litho, unless your enquiry is for a short run, at which point we will advise you if this will be a digital print method.

What are all the paper weights?

There are hundreds of various paper weights and types, each one is suited to a different purpose. We have narrowed these options down, so that for each product we have only a couple of weights to choose from. We will recommend which weight we feel works best with your project to ensure you get the best results.

How should I send my files?

If you have had your printed works already designed, we need the artwork to size, as a .pdf with 3mm bleed and crop marks. All text should be converted to outlines and any images should be a minimum of 300dpi and embedded. If you have any questions, please do not hesistate to give us a call.
